Bachelor of Forensic Science program offers diverse entry and exit options with a certificate in 1st year (44 credits), a diploma in 2nd year (88 credits) and B.Sc. degree in 3rd year (132 credits). For the students who would like to earn extra 44 credits, this program offers a 4 year B.Sc. Forensic Science Honours degree or B.Sc. Forensic Science Honours with research degree.

Forensic science is a truly multidisciplinary program. This field of study applies the scientific principles for crime investigation. The curriculum of B.Sc. (Hons.) Forensic Science degree at IAR is designed to provide students all the essential skills and knowledge to identify various types of crimes and perform scientific investigations to solve the crime. This program focuses on teaching students the value of observation, evaluation and interpretation in a scientific investigation of a crime. The students will learn collection, preservation, handling and examination of evidence found at different crime scenes in Introduction to Forensic Science and Crime scene management. Using the latest technology, forensic scientists convert the clues collected from a crime scene into evidence admissible in a court of law. The courses offered in this program enable students to apply the advance scientific knowledge in Forensic investigations and use the evidence in the courts or legal proceedings. This is a challenging and interesting field for those who are inquisitive and love adventure which will be presented to them in the form of various unexpected crimes in the society.
Passed 10+2 in the science stream (PCB/PCM) from a recognized board examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
