Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons. Economics

The Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Hons) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is a versatile and multidisciplinary program designed to equip students with analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. This degree opens doors to a wide range of job opportunities in senior management, policy-making, finance, and business sectors in India and abroad. It has a ample of job opportunities across disciplines like Banking and Finance, Government and Policy Research, Corporate Sector and Management, International Organizations and NGOs, Academia and Research and Entrepreneurship and Start-ups. Unlike many other specialized master’s programs, graduates with a B.A. Economics (Hons) can pursue diverse postgraduate options such as MBA (open to students from all disciplines, leading to senior management roles), M.A. / M.Sc. in Economics, Public Policy, Finance, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Actuarial Science.

On practical approaches with highly qualified talented faculties and well equipped infrastructure the students will gain a strong foundation in business principles and their practical applications through classroom learning with an interdisciplinary approach, Internships with financial institutions of GIFT City, think tanks, and multinational companies, seminars and workshops with industry experts, company visits for real-world insights into economic decision-making.
