M.Sc. Biotechnology (DBT Supported)
M.Sc. Biotechnology is a structured two-year postgraduate program with the strong interdisciplinary research base in biological sciences as well as various techniques applied to living cells. M.Sc. Biotechnology is one of the most demanding courses sought in the current era. Graduates in this discipline are trained with an analytical mindset to obtain valued solutions to harness the quality of life through major advances in agriculture, environment, health and medicine.
Institute of Advanced Research (IAR), Gandhinagar is one of the renowned universities offering Master’s degree programs in Biotechnology and allied subjects. As you may be aware, IAR is only one of the two universities in Gujarat selected by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) to offer MSc (Biotechnology) program sponsored by them. Admissions into this program are through an entrance examination to be conducted by the DBT.
IAR also offers MSc in Microbiology/Industrial Biotechnology/Molecular Medicine/Environment Science & Technology. Graduates from this program are all at top-ranking universities and research institutions in India and abroad. Admissions are now open for the MSc Biotechnology, DBT (Department of Biotechnology) supported program. Details for admission and eligibility criteria are briefly mentioned below.
