Introduction

The Institute of Advanced Research (IAR) is an innovative modern university, which offers professionally focused undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree programs. The University was established under the Gujarat Private Universities Amendment Act, 2011 and recognized under section 22 and 2(f) of UGC. IAR was established in 2006 with the support of then President of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam. Dr. Kalam along with the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, who was then the Chief Minister of Gujarat inaugurated the Institute. The University is financially supported by the Puri Foundation for Education in India, established by Professor Nathu Ram Puri, a leading industrialist in the UK with manufacturing and other businesses world-wide.

  • The University is a not-for-profit institution; its sole purpose is to promote world-leading education, research and innovation for young people nationally and internationally.
  • The basic objective of the IAR admission policy is to identify meritorious candidates for admission to various programs without any prejudice to their caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender and disability.
  • The admissions will be on merit basis. The 60% in the latest qualifying examination is set as Merit for the admission to UG and PG Programs.
  • 5% relaxation will be given to  SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Minority students as per the prevailing government norms.
  • The University extends its assistance to avail Govt. Scholarship schemes and offers own Scholarship schemes to the meritorious students. University also offers financial support to the applicants from the weaker section of the society as per predefined policy.
  1. Applicants must submit admission application form with applicable fees for the respective program (separate forms if applying for more than one program) as per the admission schedule declared on the university website and in the Prospectus.
  2. University has set the criteria for merit and will offer admission to the applicant having 60% in the qualifying examination for UG and PG programs. Applicants having less percentage than 60 (or as per Gujarat State Government norms), may make contact concerned department Admission Counsellors for discussion on eligibility for admission.
  3. Applicants eligible for admission will be confirmed only after verification of eligibility and the payment of the applicable registration fees.
  4. Selected candidates will be informed of their admission. Students will have to pay the semester fee before commencement of the semester in order to confirm their seats.
  5. Applicants who fail to give the confirmation of admission by the last date, the seat will be offered to the next eligible candidate.
  6. If a student fails to prove educational eligibility after the confirmation of provisional  admission or if the application is based on wrongful information, his/her admission will be treated as Cancelled and the seat will be offered to the next eligible candidate. In such cases, the application and registration fees will not be refunded.
  7. Admissions to B.Tech. and MBA programs are offered either through the centralized online admissions process conducted by the ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses) or directly by IAR under the management quota.
