IAR (Institute of Advanced Research) is a private university established under the Gujarat Private Universities Amendment Act, 2011 and recognized under section 22 and 2(f) of UGC. It is located in Koba Institutional Area (Knowledge Corridor), Gandhinagar.

Yes, IAR is recognized under section 22 and 2(f) of UGC. IAR is included in the list of private universities being maintained by UGC (University Grant Commission) on its website.
IAR is competent to award degrees as specified by UGC under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. Degree awarded by a valid University and specified by UGC under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956 is recognized.
Students can apply online as well as offline. Online applications are done via the university website. Offline applications are to be done via the admission office of IAR.

At this moment, only Ph.D. program admissions are done through an entrance test. For all other non-professional programs, the eligibility criteria is 60% of the last qualifying examinations.
Submit photocopies of the following documents while applying for admission:
- (10+2) School Marksheet
- School leaving certificate
- Aadhar Card
- One Passport size photograph
- Medical Fitness Certificate (only for physically handicapped candidates)
- B.Sc. Marksheets and certificates (for M.Sc. Admission)
- Migration Certificate in Original (In case of other than Gujarat Board / Other University)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable) and/or non-creamy layer certificate (in case of OBC/SEBC category)
Students need to produce the original mark sheet of last qualifying examination for the respective programs for verification and original migration / transfer certificate.
Students will first fill the application form to be considered for a merit list. If his/her name appears in the merit list, then he/she will pay the Registration Fee and Semester Fee, as applicable.

Yes, migration from other Universities to IAR, Gandhinagar is possible. Some cross – credits can be given based on the programs/credits hours they have studied earlier

Yes, we have separate hostels for both boys and girls on/off the campus. Hostel fee is Rs. 45,600/- per semester. It covers both accommodation and food.
