Synthesis curcumin pyrazole analogs and its biological evaluation: Curcumin and its pyrazoles derivatives display a wide spectrum of medicinal properties viz. antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal to anticancer and anti-Alzheimer potency. However, curcumin and its derivatives low solubility, high rate of metabolism and decomposition and poor bioavailability are responsible for its limited efficacy. Our group is working on designing such curcumin analogs which has better stability, solubility, bioavailability than parent molecule.
Synthesis of squalamine and squalamine like molecule and its biological evaluation: Supplies of squalamine from natural sources are limited and although it has wide range biological activities viz., anti-microbial, anti-angiogenic and anti-tumor activities. Thus, we recommend a novel synthetic route, which will allow us to synthesize squalamine and squalamine like molecules from easily available starting materials in efficient manner and modest yield.
