Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program meticulously crafted to align with the principles outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Our program stands as a light of excellence, championing interdisciplinary education, experiential learning, and ethical leadership in the ever-evolving landscape of business and management. Through a dynamic curriculum that integrates diverse disciplines such as Management, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Foreign Trade and Entrepreneurship. Students are empowered to gain a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of the business world. Embracing the ethos of the NEP, our program fosters creativity, critical thinking, and global perspectives, preparing students to navigate complexities and drive positive change in the global marketplace. With an emphasis on hands-on experiences, research-driven learning, and a commitment to ethical conduct, our BBA graduates emerge as versatile professionals ready to carve their paths as ethical leaders and innovators.

The four years (eight semesters) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program provides an opportunity to pursue advanced study of the theory and principles of modern business. This program would help them (students) to sharpen the essential business skills and make them competent in changing the business environment. As a business graduate from the Department of Business and Management, Institute of Advanced Research (IAR) Gandhinagar, the students will be well-equipped to work and function in and adapt to the rapidly changing business environment. The BBA program at IAR aims to groom effective administrative and leadership qualities incorporating theoretical and practical knowledge by utilizing the participative teaching and learning methods. A wide range of open elective courses has been offered in the area of Human Resource Management, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, International Business and Business analytics.

What makes these specialized areas stand out from the rest is the fact that they all are promising job oriented areas. These areas are going through excellent phases of growth and are not showing any sign of slowing down. With this phenomenal growth, a number of job opportunities are also being created in these areas. So, while pursuing BBA and specializing in the above any areas would open an ample amount of job opportunities for students.

Further, the BBA program at IAR Gandhinagar enables students that aspirants can pursue the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program after completing the same.

The course structure of the BBA program is distributed in eight semesters. In each of the semesters, 22 credits would be offered to the students. The BBA program is constituted with a subject pool of compulsory courses, discipline-specific core/elective courses, interdisciplinary courses, value added courses and skill development courses. The majority of compulsory/core/elective courses are offered under the 4 credit schemes, where 2 credits are for skill development courses and value added courses

However, skill development courses are focused to teach the state of the art business research tools, Universal Human Values, research approaches, banking systems, Yoga and Meditation, Tally, and environmental studies. Further, we have also included a range of subjects that would enhance the English and Business Communication Skills of the students. A proficient business communication would help them to sharpen their managerial and leadership skills in the modern business environment. In the Last semester students are also expected to Go on Field visit and attend on the job training sessions. At the end of VIII-semester studies in the BBA program, students are expected to earn at least 176 credits to secure for qualifying to get a degree in the BBA program. Students are also encouraged to earn additional credits through attending seminars, workshops, summer courses/schools, summer internship/projects, assignments, industrial visits, and part-time jobs. Our NEP-based BBA program is structured to offer students a series of academic milestones, each reflecting their progress and achievement throughout the course of their studies. Here’s a systematic breakdown of the certification levels within our program:

  1. UG Certificate (After One Year): Upon successful completion of the first year of our BBA program, students will be awarded a Undergraduate (UG) Certificate. This certification acknowledges their foundational understanding of business principles and their commitment to academic excellence.
  2. UG Diploma (After Two Years): Upon completion of the second year of our BBA program, students will be eligible to receive an Undergraduate (UG) Diploma. This diploma signifies their continued dedication to their studies and their advancement in acquiring specialized knowledge and skills in the field of business administration.
  3. UG Degree (After Three Years): After successfully completing three years of the BBA program, students will be conferred with a full Undergraduate (UG) Degree. This degree represents a significant academic achievement, demonstrating their comprehensive understanding of business concepts and their readiness to enter the professional world.
  4. UG Honours Degree (Upon Completion of Four Years): For those students who choose to pursue the full four-year course, they will be awarded an Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree. This prestigious designation is reserved for students who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, academic excellence, and mastery of advanced business concepts. It signifies their readiness to excel as leaders and innovators in the field of business administration.

By offering these progressive certification levels, our NEP-based BBA program provides students with a clear pathway to academic success and professional advancement, while also recognizing their achievements at various stages of their educational journey.
